Kent based artist, Anthony Foster, is a versatile mural artist and figure painter.

Initially pursuing a career in advertising, Tony spent fifteen years as an art director for Juniper Woolf and Smedley McAlpine, during which time he worked for high profile clients such as Harrods, Abbey National and Boots. His experience as an art director honed his understanding of client needs, and the importance of visuals and sketches pre-commission, to assist in idea development.

In 1994, Tony left advertising to follow his heart in fine arts. For the past 20 years he has worked as a freelance artist, producing artwork for interior design companies, architects, as well as private individuals. In addition to many private commissions, work for past clients has included murals and artworks for VIP Ski, J D Wetherspoon, Elite Pubs and interior canvases for Stanley Spencer's house in Cookham.

Tony Foster has a degree in three-dimensional design from Manchester Polytechnic and an MA in fine arts at Canterbury UCA. He taught art and design at Mid Kent College and runs a life drawing class in Sandgate, Kent.
