About the artist
Kent based artist, Anthony Foster, is a versatile mural artist and figure painter. Initially pursuing a career in advertising, Tony spent fifteen years as an art director for Juniper Woolf and Smedley McAlpine, during which time he worked for high profile clients such as Harrods, Abbey National and Boots. His experience as an art director honed his understanding of client needs, and the importance of visuals and sketches pre-commission, to assist in idea development.
Leaving advertising to follow his heart in the fine arts, for the past 25 years has worked as a freelance artist, producing artworks for interior design companies, architects, as well as private individuals. In addition to many private commissions, clients include VIP Ski, Laughland Jones interiors and Elite Pubs.
Tony has a degree in three-dimensional design from Manchester University and an MA in fine art at Canterbury UCA. He has taught fine art painting and sculpture for adult ed and held life drawing classes at various locations in Kent. See more examples of his art.
